The Village of Pentwater is accepting sealed bids for annual rent of a parcel of property. It is approximately 40 acres to be used for crop planting, location is the DPW Spray Fields.
Sealed Bids are due by Monday, May 23rd at Noon, bids can be dropped off at Pentwater Village Hall.

Hydrant Flushing will begin Monday, May 23rd. Hydrant flushing is an annual procedure that is a part of the general maintenance of the Village's water distribution system. It helps maintain the Village's water quality and clarity by clearing out mineral deposits and iron from the water mains, as well as ensure adequate water flow for residents and businesses.

The Village of Pentwater is seeking to hire a part-time Planning/Zoning Administrator.
Salary Range: $20,000 to $25,000, DOQ, with a limited benefits packet.
This is a high-level professional position within the Planning/Zoning Department. Under the supervision of the Village Manager, this position is responsible for a wide-range of planning and zoning initiatives, ranging from day-to-day operations to long-term strategic planning projects.

The Village of Pentwater is happy to announce that funding has been secured for the Channel Dredging. We received funds from the following contributors.
Village of Pentwater - $30,000
Anonymous Donor - $30,000
Community Foundation Fund - $23,000
Oceana County ARPA Funds - $20,000
We are currently in negotiations with contractors to get the dredging scheduled as soon as possible.
We would like to thank the County Board of Commissioners, the Oceana County Community Foundation and the contributors to the Foundation funds, our Anonymous Donor, and all the citizens who helped push this through. We look forward to another great season on the water!
Pentwater Police Department is accepting applications for Public Safety Officers.
Successful applicants should be at least 18 years old, have a valid Michigan Drivers License, and have an interest in Law Enforcement. Applicant must submit to a background investigation.
Applicants should have excellent references and possess good communication skills.

The Pentwater Arts Council in partnership with the Village of Pentwater DDA are proud to announce Pentwater Public Arts/Sculpture Walk 2022. Sculpture Walk 2022 will feature five sculptures to be installed in prominent locations in downtown Pentwater. Sculptures will be selected by a jury of professional artists and art educators. The displays will be up from June 1st - October 15th.
"Jurors' Choice" and "Peoples' Choice" awards will be presented. All sculptures will be available to purchase. It is the hope of the organizing committee that donations will allow at least one sculpture to permanently enhance downtown Pentwater. All submissions must be appropriate for people of all ages, and reflect our Pentwater community and surroundings. An artist's reception is being planned for October 15th. The event will repeat in 2023 and 2024 will additional locations designated for sculptures.
The White House and FCC announced that 10 million households are now enrolled in the Affordable Connectivity Program. The ACP provides connections for telehealth services, distance learning, economic development, government benefits and services, and civic engagement with local, state, and and national elected and appointed leaders. The FCC will continue its work to ensure that qualifying households know how to enroll. Below you will find a document that discusses 10 ways to connection communities with the ACP.
