The Pentwater Village Council at their February 13th Meeting lifted the Moratorium on Short-Term Rentals.
The Application Process is now open and will remain open for 60 days. Completed applications must be submitted to the Village Manager, Chris Brown, for approval. Applications are available online and at Village Hall.
If you currently have a Short-Term Rental license, you may file the short form, Renewal Form.
If you have been operating without a license, you are required to pay for the preceding two years fees along with the current fees. You are also required to have a site plan of some type indicating the property, buildings and parking. You must also provide a layout of the house indicating square footage and room locations (especially sleeping quarters), as well as a list of rental rules and your Michigan Sales and Use Tax Number.
Upon application approval you will be issued a permit that will expire on December 31, 2023.
The deadline for Short-Term Rental Applications is April 14, 2023. We will not be accepting applications after this date unless authorized by resolution of the Village Council.

The Village Planning Commission has rescheduled their March Meeting to Wednesday, April 5th at 6Pm at Park Place.

It brings the Village great pleasure to announce that Claudia Ressel-Hodan will be stepping in as our new Director for Park Place.
Claudia has been involved with Park Place since the Village began its renovations in 2019. She will be responsible for all reservations and their oversite.
We are excited to have Claudia take over and look forward to the promotion of additional activities.

The Village of Pentwater, located on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan in Oceana County is currently seeking a qualified individual to oversee the operations of our waste water system. Our plant is a Membrane Bio-Reactor System and requires a Michigan "B" Operator's License.
Specific duties will include the day-today operating, reporting and maintaining the wastewater collection system, treatment plant and lift stations.
As a member of our DPW team other functions may include snow plowing and other street maintenance functions. Ability to obtain a CDL within three months will be required.
Compensation: Depending on qualifications.
Benefits to include paid vacation and sick leave, comprehensive medical, optical and dental plan, life insurance and MERS defined pension.
